How Travel Bookers Continue to Thrive in Travel

Every travel business has a slightly different journey as they build their presence, and Travel Bookers is a fantastic example of how a travel business can grow. The business started as a simple idea and has since progressed to become an incredibly successful agency of homeworkers with even more growth already on the way.

Who Are Travel Bookers?

Travel Bookers was established around 6 years ago, and became independent in 2025, with their own branding, setup, and website. They joined Protected Trust Services (PTS), not long after in September 2025.

“It started as an idea,” Kevin said, “between several high selling agents, working under various consortia, we realised there was no true freedom to grow and flourish within our current consortia. So, we brainstormed and came together to form our own agency. A few of us specialise in Indian Ocean and Caribbean and this is what we have used as a foundation to grow the business where we now have 10 top selling homeworkers, and are currently recruiting more.”

Why Did Travel Bookers Become Interested in Consortia?

“Once we had the idea to form our own agency, we started researching various options and consortiums,” Kevin said, “we chatted with so many, and we couldn’t find a single consortium or host company that ticked all the boxes, they all had some kind of restriction so you were not truly independent.”

Travel Bookers’ focus from the beginning was on independence to do the job they wanted to do without a lot of restrictions.

When they started looking into the support that a consortium could offer, Travel Bookers were looking for that freedom. They wanted to run their business their way, choose their suppliers and systems, but still get the support they needed for ATOL and the expertise that would help their business flourish.

Why Did They Choose PTS?

After looking at other support systems “we chatted with Grant at PTS, and he showed us the ins and outs of everything, we signed up within a few days and it’s the best decision we have ever made.

“With other hosts you are never truly independent, and I feel the only true host that allows true independence is PTS.

“We have grown faster than planned, opened up to other agents as a trade supplier, and this couldn’t have been done without the assistance and support of PTS.”

Travel Bookers became a member of PTS in September 2025 and Kevin said they found the onboarding process “simple and straight forward”.

“Throughout the onboarding process we had several calls and questions, nothing was too much trouble, and I ask a lot of questions!” Kevin said, “Once you get the hang of the systems everything is pretty simple and easy to understand, but even now I still call now and then to ask a question and keep them on their toes!

“Knowing that there is always someone at the end of the phone, or a quick email, no matter what the question, they always come back to you quickly. The financial protection given when using PTS is a highlight to most of my clients, and they prefer the trust account model to other associations.”

Since joining PTS, Kevin and Travel Bookers have continued to grow and we are incredibly proud to have them as one of our members. Plus, they are continuing to expand, with Destination Maldives soon to be introduced.
