Booking a package holiday provides great advantage to you, the consumer, and to your travel agent. It provides great protection, simplicity, and peace of mind. Compared to booking individual elements it’s a great option to consider when you’re ready for your next getaway.

What is a Package Holiday?
A package holiday is simply a holiday booked with one company, at one price, and containing more than one element, such as:

  • Air travel
  • Accommodation
  • Transportation
  • Tourist Attractions

You can book a package holiday with a travel agent or a tour operator. You can also choose a pre-made package wherein the provider has already put the elements together, or a custom package where you select the elements yourself and then receive one price.

What are the Benefits?
There are many benefits to booking a package holiday instead of booking elements separately, especially coming from the advantage of financial and legal protection from the Package Travel Regulations, these include:

  • Your right to a refund, replacement, or reimbursement if something goes wrong with an element of your package. For example, if the service provider has charged you more than an element is worth, you are entitled to a refund consisting of how much extra they charged.
  • If the travel company goes out of business, your money is protected and you are entitled to a full refund if your holiday hasn’t started, and transport back home if it has.
  • It is simple and hassle-free. The holiday will be constructed by one travel company, who will contact the necessary tour operators and travel services to compile your holiday, all you must do is pay for the package and turn up for your holiday.
  • You’re only dealing with one company. This means you’ll pay one price, agree to one contract, and be provided with all the information you need, legal and otherwise, from one source.
  • You have access to the plethora of quality travel services that work with your chosen travel agent, or with PTS, and can be assured the best holiday possible in our hands giving you peace of mind.
