At PTS, we love to celebrate members just like Wild Lens Nature Tours as they continue to grow. We are incredibly proud of all our members, whatever milestone they’re at with their business, and we are always so glad to see the tools and support we provide going to great use supporting such successful businesses. And it’s important to remember not just those that are already so far into their growth, but the members who were in the early stages of their business when they came to PTS.
David and Wild Lens are a fantastic example of this. Having come to PTS in tandem with starting Wild Lens Nature Tours, David immediately set himself up for success with support that meant he could get to know his business and the industry without stressing about a ton of things all at once.
Who Are Wild Lens?
David left his previous job as a driver for Royal Mail December 28th 2024 after 20 years of service. He immediately joined PTS and ran his first trip to Mongolia to photograph Snow Leopards in January 2025 and this is exactly the kind of thrilling adventure he still provides going into 2026. David runs adventure and wildlife photography tours, mainly to arctic destinations, and many to some of the most remote places on earth!
What Has It Been Like as a PTS Member for David?
He knew about PTS as he had seen the name with other tour operators. David became a member with Wild Lens before he even ran his first tour to ensure there were no bumps in operations.
“I was looking for a way to become compliant with the travel regulations,” he said. “I looked at financial failure insurance but then I discovered PTS and really liked the business model. I love the back end system and how you can pay suppliers from it, and keep an eye on everything financially while being legally compliant.
“PTS helped me become legally compliant, separating my business money from clients. This was a big relief and allowed me to sleep at night.”
The move into travel and into PTS membership was a learning curve for David, but he has since expressed that he’s very happy and grateful to be a part of our community of members and to have set himself up with support from the very get go. He immediately got along very well with the PTS team and has already found using the system to be “second nature”.
One of the most important aspects for David and Wild Lens was not just legal compliance, but being able to adapt to his international clients’ needs. “Becoming legally compliant was the main reason I joined PTS, but also the fact I can now take credit cards from around the world. Many of my customer are from the US and they always pay by credit card.”
David has also maintained focus on customer comfort from the very beginning, looking to be able to reassure travellers that they are in good hands. “Being able to to tell customers their money is safeguarded is something welcomed by all of my customers. Many of them have commented how good that it is.”
With such a ‘big picture’ view of his business from the get go, David has already begun to thrive in travel and has dazzled our team and his clients with some amazing photographs and tours in some awe-inspiring destinations.
