PTS Model Opens New Opportunities For Travel Agents

It is now over a year since PTS opened up our new trust account model, offering both travel agencies and experienced travel professionals a modern and more viable alternative to the traditional bonding and insurance options. We started with a simple mission. To enable experienced travel professionals to build a business that is successful, independent and profitable. To this end, we wanted all PTS members to retain the freedom to work with their own suppliers and DMCs, alongside having full access to our PTS supplier list. We want to ensure that we never limit any opportunities for travel agents to improve their travel business! Furthermore, the PTS solution needed to protect the consumer, you and your business, and the suppliers. After the most recent Thomas Cook collapse, it is more apparent than ever that a complete 360 degree solution is needed. We are incredibly proud to have achieved this via our trust account solution, and since its release, we are proud to say that we have seen an incredible rate of uptake, and that our members can boast some truly fantastic success stories!

For us, perhaps the biggest challenge in growing this solution has been the realisation that as a completely new and innovative concept to the industry, many travel agents have found our solution difficult to comprehend. In many instances, the lack of comprehension isn’t an issue of understanding, but rather a case of travel agents struggling to believe that such a solution is even possible! For those agents who have understood and joined our PTS mission, we are absolutely thrilled to see so many of you going on to thrive, and we are delighted to see many of you doubling your commission and profit margins. Perhaps most importantly, we are proud to have helped you achieve this whilst remaining totally independent! Best yet, some of our members are even receiving media attention for their incredible and well earned successes!

Last Friday, Travel Weekly released an interview in their “Your Stories” section, highlighting the achievements of Rachel Garnish and her business, RG Travel.
