A great bucket-list destination is soon to become available as Barbados ends testing restrictions for vaccinated travellers. Not only will vaccinated UK travellers to Barbados not have to test on arrival anymore but quarantine requirements have also been lifted from the 24th of October.

Barbados is a fantastic addition to the long list of countries vaccinated UK travellers can now take a holiday in, especially with the winter approaching, some winter sun destinations are due for the summer-loving travellers among us.

The Barbados Tourism Board spokesperson in the UK is still waiting for an update on some details, such as the requirements for unvaccinated children travelling, with the FCDO waiting to update the Foreign Travel Advice page.

As of the 22nd of October the travel restrictions for entering Barbados were as follows:

  • All travellers must provide evidence of a negative pre-departure test taken within 72 hours before travel.
  • Unvaccinated travellers must quarantine in approved accommodation and take a day-5 test.
  • Vaccinated travellers must take a PCR test on arrival.

Now fully vaccinated travellers to Barbados no longer need to take a test on arrival as long as they have evidence of a pre-departure test taken within 72 hours before travel. They also will not need to quarantine. The restrictions for unvaccinated travellers remain the same, and travellers may be selected at random for free rapid-antigen tests on arrival.

This news as Barbados ends testing restrictions for vaccinated travellers is in great time for some awesome holidays and a positive little boost for the progress of UK travel.
